Cafe Espersen
It’s not very often we drive all the way to Dragør. But being in a seaport, you got to try a restaurant with a maritime theme. Café Espersen is just that. It’s an old ticket office for the ferry between Dragør og Limhamn, that is been made into a restaurant. It’s like entering granny’s living room. There is old paintings with “Skagensmaleren”…a famous Danish artist. Plaques on the wall, pictures of monarchs and signs with maritime symbols. My guess is that the mean age was not under 70. A young couple was not among the regulars. But we got a friendly service, even though the place was packed, and there was a large birthday party in the adjoining rooms. The food was fine. Fresh fish presumably from next door. A great view of the harbor from the restaurant. Nothing pretentious. But the food was well-made and Prices were fair.
