Krogs Fiskerestaurant
There is a lot of history to this old fish restaurant. It has been serving fish dishes since 1910 and is thereby one of the oldest restaurants in Denmark. They have framed some of the old menus, and put them on the wall. They are quite funny. It really shows how old the restaurant is. The prices have changed significantly ever since, and now it’s no longer traditional Danish food served for everybody. You need to spend some money in here. The prices are heavy. But it is hands down the best fish restaurant I have ever been to. The food is fresh, served in a gourmet fashion and very tasteful. They kind of took me by surprise. I though the waiters would be stiff and arrogant in a place like this. They were nothing of the kind. The waiter was friendly and cracking jokes. At the same time he gave an excellent guidance in the wine pairing. I have already planned another lunch in here. The décor is stylish and beautiful, and the location is in one of the most prominent streets of Copenhagen, where there is a view (when the metro construction is over) to the Parliament and the most famous museums in Copenhagen like Thovaldsens Museum and the National Museum. At the same time it’s close to Strøget and Strædet where you can shop. I love this place.
