Il Grappolo Blu Osteria
Great Italian restaurant. Very down town, just a few minutes walk from
Vesterport Station. The service is great and the courses are very true to the
Italian kitchen. The waiters are enthusiastic and eager to share their
knowledge and advices. We wanted to try a not so obvious wine to the main
course - a red wine from Marche. That choice produced a cascade of extra attention
from the waitress. She served an olive oil that was grown and produced by the
family, who owns the restaurant but partly lives in Italy. It was out of this
world. Outstanding taste. Unfortunately it can't be bought. The production was
very limited. We also got a free glass of white wine, which she simply just
needed us to taste. It was also from Marche, and it was rather unknown outside
Italy and quite underestimated. It came with a great story and it was hysterically
good with the antipasti. All in all we had a really good experience, and I'll
absolutely come back another time.
Next door to the Osteria is the gourmet version to this restaurant. Same owner. I have not yet tried this, but it's definitely on my list of places I need to try.
