Vesterbro Vinstue
This fine wine and dining combined with a bohemian like hunting lodge. You can hang your coat on deer hooves, the wallpaper is ragged, the stucco contains angels and skulls, the rooms are dark and the decor is simple and café-like. From the outside it just looks like a bodega. I did not foresee such a place serve such great food. It was almost gourmet. Really tasty and served in small delicious portions. The dishes are meant to be small, and the prices match the portions. They recommend 3 dishes, but for a Wednesday evening 2 dishes and some bread worked well for both of us. They have an exciting wine card. One of my favorites among the lot. I will absolutely come back for a dinner on a weekend. Parking is a challenge, but it’s close to Copenhagen Central station.
